Parent Homework

Over MANY years we have participated in our children's homework. I believe some of the projects were actually meant for the parents. I mean what fourth grader can actually build a California Mission out of sugar cubes and toothpicks?! Caitlin had to make a Kachina doll and we had to call in reinforcements to help design and sew the clothes (you know who you are!). Well, this bio-board assignment is a required ENS (Exercise and Nutritional Science) 9th grade project. We have now helped do three of them. It may not look like much, but it's brutal. They have to include a family tree, their favorite song, all their health history, a picture timeline, a self-portrait, and much more! When Caitlin was in 9th grade, we stayed up until 2:00 a.m. helping her, for Derek it was midnight, and with Cody we went to bed at 10:00. Poor thing, he was on his own and he did a great job! It was painful for him, but it's done!
