The Best Week of the Year! (Part 2)

This is where we were staying...isn't it SO beautiful!

After the fun park on Thursday we got all cleaned up to ALL go to a "Chuck Wagon Dinner". We had no idea what to expect, exactly, except that there would be food. We were taken to the dinner by horse drawn wagons...way fun!

And after a yummy barbeque dinner, we were treated to a show!  There was a sheriff and "Dirty Dog". And they actually made Lauren and Grandpa stars of the show!

And Grandpa was Grouchy Sam or Chucklin' Charlie - We were laughing so hard our faces hurt!

Then, after the show, we got some pictures with the cast -

Friday was a "free day" where there was no organized activity. We decided to rent bicycles as a family and ride along the bike path. It was so very fun!! I am glad we decided to do it. We actually ended up riding like 16 miles. Jayce was so tired when we got back, but he was a trooper and made it the whole way!

Since Caitlin had a broken wrist, she and Billy had to ride a tandem bike. It took some practice.

Much of the trail was along a beautiful stream.

On Friday, before it got dark, Mark and Jayce took a little walk to explore the teepee. And Jayce asked Mark if he could take pictures of flowers. These are only a few of the many he took.

And finally, of course, the funnest part of the week for Jayce...

...was putting trash down the trash chute!!

Well, another successful Sutherland family reunion. So many thanks go to Grandma and Grandpa for making it all possible. We loved all the activities, but we really loved being together and growing closer through our fun and our family evenings.

I can hardly wait for our next one!
